Project Description:
FMA was selected by McKissick Associates Architects, Inc. The Castle Intermediate Elementary School project consisted of working with Hazleton Area School District and McKissick Associates to meet their need of renovating the former Hazleton High School Circa 1920’s. The staff at FMA, while employed elsewhere, developed the sketch plans which were the basis of the land development plans that were approved by the City of Hazleton. After the establishment of FMA, we were chosen to prepare construction documents and provide construction administration services during the renovation/construction of the project. Additional details of the project were to raze an on-site storage building which would make room for a building addition, parking lot, and associated stormwater system. The project was estimated to be $750,000 for site construction costs. The project required working closely with the City of Hazleton officials, Hazleton Area School District, and the project Architect.
