Project Description:
FMA was selected by Jim and Joy Macdonald of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania to prepare subdivision plans for a 7.11 acre parcel in Grantham PA. The property was formally known as “The Griswold Farm”, a gentleman’s farm which includes a stone house circa 1896, a wooden barn, and situated in a pristine setting next to the Yellow Breeches Creek. The Macdonald’s asked FMA to subdivide the parcel into 10 lots (9 proposed and 1 residual), creating a small charming community which complements the natural character which surrounds the project site. A site visit was conducted prior to preparing the sketch plans to analyze the site, borrowing from the character of the existing stone house and beautiful setting. The approved Sketch Plan was the basis of the land development plans that were approved by Upper Allen Township. The project was estimated to be $400,000 for site improvements. The project required working closely with Jim and Joy Macdonald, the project neighbors, and Upper Allen Township officials.
